A look back at our Unite for Access and Mural Unveiling

 What a day !

Thank you to everyone that attended our 1st Level Playing Fields ‘Unite for Access’ match-day and the unveiling of the Mural against Workington AFC on Saturday 30th March. It was a fantastic day on and off the pitch, which was well supported by everyone connected with the club.

We are very pleased to say that the game attracted lots of new disabled fans, and we also welcomed some past legends of Stafford Rangers FC and Eve Whitfield and her family. We hope you all had a fantastic day, and we hope to see you all again at the Stan Robinson Stadium very soon.

A special thank you to all the volunteers that helped make the day run very smoothly, as well as Stafford Rangers Junior Rangers Initiative for their excellent videos. Two of their videos with Heather Rose, the clubs’ new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer and Katy Dixey (mother of Evie Dixey) explaining the importance of the Unite for Access campaign can be found below.

A video of the day is also now available, which was kindly made by the Stafford Rangers Junior Rangers Initiative.

The A4 and A3 prints produced by Eve Whitfield are now available in the club shop, priced at £15 and £20. Cash only.

Thanks again for all your support.

Squad Update

Squad Update

Boro Bolster for the run-in

Kian Taylor

We can confirm the loan signing of 19 year old midfielder Kian Taylor, from Preston North End, until the end of the season. Kian has been in the first team squad but suffered from an arm injury earlier in the season. Highly rated at Preston, Kian will come straight into the squad for this weekend’s games against Workington and Gainsborough.

Under 21s prospect Max Raine has also been added to the squad. Max is an attacking midfielder/striker and becomes the eighth youngster to sign a first team form and now trains with the first team.

Max, along with Max Barlow and Henry Brereton signed on dual registration with Pilkington FC, all playing ninety minutes on debut Wednesday evening against Charnock Richard. Congratulations to all three with special mention to Henry, who scored the opening goal of the evening, in what turned out to be a credible 1-1 draw. Dave Cooke, in attendance at the game was delighted with the performance of all three players, excited at the potential on offer. All three return to our Under 21s this weekend, in cup action away at Boldmere, kick off 10.30am.

The unveiling will take place at 2.30pm in front of the wall, but make sure you get there early so you can witness the occasion. Photos will be taken after, with the fans and our glorious past players, so make sure you’re down there on time.

We are also very pleased to confirm that Eve has also produced a selection of A4 and A3 prints that will be available to buy from the artist herself at the game. Thereafter, they will be stocked in the club shop.

One of the designs available to purchase can be seen above.

A Rallying Call

A Rallying Call

Back Us ! – Says Belford

Dale Belford

Dale Belford has urged Stafford Rangers supporters to get behind his side on Saturday against Workington AFC after victory at Bamber Bridge.

Sean Cooke and Connor Heath’s second-half goals supplied the Rangers with their win, and the Boro moved to three points adrift from safety. The 2-0 victory was also the Rangers’ first clean sheet since Boxing Day and their fourth of the season so far.

With six games remaining this season, Dave Cooke’s assistant sent a message to the fans saying: “We need every fan possible to get behind us now and let’s get to where we want to on April 27th at 5 o’clock.

“It’s been a difficult season, we’ve been in and around this position all season. People who’ve been here all season have become conditioned to it. I’ve been in this position a few times and got out of it. I’m confident and I’m hoping that we’re going to do the same.

“But, for us to do that we have to have everybody pulling in the right direction and in the same direction. Saturday we’ve got a home tie against a team who are very good. I think they were well worthy of beating us at their place, but we need everybody who is a Stafford fan to get around and support the lads because they need it.

“The fans today were fantastic and when we needed it we were digging in and the fans have come on the road and supported us. We need as many people through the gate on Saturday and if it doesn’t go as well as we want it to to start with, keep getting behind the team.”
