A few weeks ago a position within our social club team became available for a new assistant manager. After opening this up internally and to the public we had many applications and we thank all that sent in a CV. After looking over all these applications we are delighted to say that Ellie Jones has been offered and accepted the position. Ellie is already working at Stafford Rangers as one of our bar staff team. We wish Ellie the best of luck, its great to have her on board!
Although the board’s debt reduction strategy is successfully addressing the problem, the club’s historical debt burden is still affecting our ability to provide the managers with the best possible playing budget. So, prompted by the original question, and because the most important thing for all of us is to have a winning team, the club has decided to create a Players Fund with all money raised being ring fenced and guaranteed to the playing budget.
We hope that as many fans and commercial sponsors as possible will support the fund by making one off or season long monthly donations at whatever level they feel comfortable with, the minimum being £5 per month for the 9 months of the playing season or donations can be made directly to the football club.
We are pleased to announce our next addition to the squad for the 2019/20 season.
Joining The Boro is Goalkeeper Lewis King. We welcome Lewis, 26, who has been at Mickleover Sports most recently, but has also been at Stalybridge Celtic, Boston United, Stockport County and Sunderland.
