Youth Structure – Club Statement

There have been numerous changes at Junior level, this Summer, so the club have moved to clarify this situation while also advertising vacant positions. With Tim Turner and Mike Baikie leaving from our Under 18 set up, we would like to place on record our thanks for their efforts and years of service. That leaves us needing a  football secretary, for this level.

With the new full time academy falling into place, the structure is being monitored in view of providing a more consistent approach, moving forward. Cohesion and consistency is paramount as we look to strengthen at all levels, making it a smoother transition to the first team.

Welcome, Alex-Ray Harvey!

We welcome our next Summer arrival as the experienced midfielder, Alex-Ray Harvey joins The Boro. At 29, Alex comes with a wealth of experience having started at Burnley, before spells with Fleetwood and Barrow saw him earn a move to Guiseley just two years ago in a deal worth £10,000, before Hednesford picked him up last season. We have no doubt Alex will add quality to our midfield and we welcome him to Marston Road.

Thanks, Joe.

Our cameraman and interviewer, Joe Davies, has found a full time job in his qualified profession and has decided to relinquish his role at the club due to time restraints. The club would like to place on record our thanks for Joe’s service and wish him all the best.

This now leaves an opening for somebody with the required or developing skills, to film our games and post match interviews. If you have the equipment, software and ability could you please contact the office on 01785 602430.

Andrai Jones Moves On

Sadly we need to announce that, following an approach by Guiseley FC , Andrai Jones has accepted their offer to play in the Conference North. This has been a very difficult decision for him after agreeing to re-sign for Stafford but he cannot turn down the opportunity to play back at a higher level. Andrai leaves with our best wishes and will always be welcome back at the Boro.
