U23 midfielder set for stint in the Northern Premier League.

McGuffie is a first year professional at Latics.

Under 23 midfielder Will McGuffie has joined Stafford Rangers on a month-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old, who made his first team debut for Latics in the EFL Trophy against Accrington Stanley in 2017, arrives at Marston Road ahead of our trip to Bamber Bridge this weekend.

McGuffie is a first year professional with Latics, progressing through the Academy ranks after a treble-winning 2018-19 season with the Under 18s, in which he won the EFL Youth Alliance, EFL Youth Alliance Cup and Lancashire FA Youth Cup.

Will, who is a combative and robust central midfielder, who can also play in defence, scored five goals in 2018-19.
