Management – Signing News & Injury Update
Nov 8, 2019

A statement from our Management Team –

“We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Brad Grayson from Buxton FC. We would like to thank their Chairman, Manager and Secretary for their assistance in facilitating this transfer. We would also like to thank the SRFC Board and our Secretary for their tireless effort in getting this deal across the line and not least the Players’ Fund for the financial support.

As we all know Brad has scored five goals in his six appearances for us on loan and we look forward to working with him and wish him a long and productive career at the Boro!

You will hear from Brad in due course.

We would also like to confirm that we have released Andy Haworth and thank him for his time and effort at the club.

In addition we are disappointed to confirm that after a Seven Day Notice of Approach, Max Dixon has opted to sign for Rushall Olympic U-21s who play Saturday mornings, making it impossible for Max to remain at SRFC. We wish him well for the future.

We welcome Will McGuffie on loan from Wigan and Shakeel Jones Griffiths. It is hoped one or two more additions may be announced over the next couple of weeks.

On the injury front Jake, Sam and Luke are all nearing a return to action, with Robbie and Josh Burns needing further assessment before this weekend’s fixture at Warrington. Jack, who broke his hand at Sutton will also be assessed before the game. Tom is now well on the road to recovery and Theo is now walking without the aid of the “Robocop boot”. Both are longer term absentees.”
