A-Jay Leitch Smith

Dave Cooke has acted swiftly to bolster the squad ahead of this evening’s fixture with Atherton Collieries FC, by signing 33 year old striker A-Jay Leitch-Smith.

A-Jay started at Crewe Alexandra going on to appear 103 times for his hometown club, before spells at Yeovil, Port Vale, Shrewsbury and Morecambe in the football league, amassing another 139 football league appearances. A-Jay also had spells at Dundee and Altrincham in recent seasons.

Well known to Dave from his connections at Crewe, A-Jay signed for Nantwich at the start of the 2022 season before moving on to Warrington Rylands. A-Jay returned to Nantwich at the start of this season but will now link back up with Dave at the BORO.
