Dan Cockerline, Zac Noble and Scott Wara
It was a difficult day on Saturday at the Stan Robinson stadium on a gloomy and frustrating afternoon with our visitors Atherton Collieries taking the spoils.
Not only did the result go against us but we lost three key players through significant injury impacting on an already depleted squad.
Dan Cockerline, Zac Noble and Scott Wara were all taken to hospital for treatment.
The most important thing is that they are now safely home and starting their recovery their health is the number one priority and brings everything else into perspective.

Dan will be out of action long term, but we will keep you up to date when we see how his rehabilitation goes in the next few weeks.

Zac is likely to be out for a month.

Scott will be unavailable for 2/3 weeks because of the protocol required from the concussion.
Injuries are part and part of a football players life, but not only does it have an impact on the club but also their home and work life.
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to each of them and truly hope their recovery is swift and we are sure everyone associated with the football club wishes them all the absolute best.
There is no hiding the fact that these injuries impact hugely on the club and gives us substantial challenges for the forthcoming away games at Stalybridge and Avro before Christmas and beyond.
We are working closely to find a way forward in the best interests of the team, fans, and club. We recognise that this is not where we wanted to be, but we will deal with it together. This is when we need to remain strong, show our character, resilience, and determination to succeed.
