Stafford Rangers FC Thanks Rangers Runners for Incredible Fundraising Effort

Stafford Rangers FC would like to once again extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Rangers Runners for their remarkable achievement on Saturday, 21st February.

The team

The team—Alex Wickett, Jay Perkins, Zaine Scott, Matt Bonney, and Aiden Rotheroe—successfully completed a challenging 15-mile run from Stafford Rangers FC to Newcastle Town’s football ground.

Along the route, they were joined by directors Ben and Mark Alcock, with valuable support from Liam Barnett and Darren Allport, who ensured the runners remained well fed and hydrated throughout the event, while providing live updates so everyone could follow their progress.

We are also sincerely thankful to all those who generously donated.

Over £3000 raised

At the time of writing, over £3,200 has been raised in support of two wonderful causes: Stafford Rangers FC and the exceptional Katherine House Hospice.

Main stand target reached

Thanks to the outstanding fundraising efforts of the Rangers Runners, the club has now reached its £16,000 target to renovate the Main Stand toilets.

We are therefore delighted to confirm that these essential improvements will commence during the close season, with the project expertly managed by Shaun Holt of SPL Design and Build Ltd, a loyal supporter of the club.

A close shave for Jay

At the upcoming Saturday fixture against Sporting Khalsa, plans are underway for Jay Perkins to fulfil his commitment to a head shave, having raised over £3,000.

Further details about the head shave and other planned activities for the match day will be shared later this week.
