Stafford Rangers embark on what could be an hectic finale to the season. On Saturday we play our last home game of the season looking to dent the play off chances of visitors Shaw Lane, just like we did last Saturday at Witton. However Shaw Lane still have chance of making the play offs as they have games in hand on their nearest rivals as they try to claw back the games to get them into the play off spots. Shaw Lane have fallen behind in games due to the waterlogged state of their ground after the recent wet spell the whole of the country received. Shaw Lane have and still are playing 3 games in a week to catch up. That counts for nothing as adrenalin will kick in as they attempt to secure the play off spot they desire. Therefore the fans can be the 12th man as we try to seal the management team a final home win of the season.
Do not disappear after the game as at 6pm in the Social Club the awards presentation will take place, so please have a drink and see who takes the honours this season. We also have Motown Night kicking off at 8pm £3.00 entry all welcome!
That is not the end of the weekend festivities as on Sunday kick off 2pm is the Premier Divisional Cup where Rangers sports play FC Gnosall, Adults £2.00 under 16’s £1.00 all welcome to come and support!
Also on Sunday, kick off 5pm is a charity game raising funds for our Presidents campaigns and the revamp of the car park. Please come along and support Jon Downing and watch some of the former Rangers players still turn on the style. £5 to see some of our former stars is a small price to pay. For this game please refrain from abusing the referee as the man in the middle is Rangers fan Graham Mitchel.
As if you have chance to catch your breath, do not forget the Staffs Senior Cup final on Stoke’s ground on Tuesday night (7:30 ko) against our old rivals from the other side of Cannock Chase, Hednesford.
