Following lengthy discussions with an expert about the conditions of the grass at the Rangers’ ground, it was obvious from him that watering should only take place during the night as the grass would be scorched if watered in full sun. Furthermore there would be a wastage of around 50 – 75% if watered in full sun resulting in a waste of money, the water pressure is also low during daytime hours.
The expert consulted expressed that the weather conditions are very unusual and that the growth of the grass is good considering the challenges from the hot weather spell we have been experiencing.
Stafford Rangers would like to take this opportunity to thank Dennis for all of his hard work along with all our other volunteers getting the ground ready ahead of the new season.
