Crown Wharf Stone hosts the team
Last night our players and staff headed to the Crown Wharf in Stone for a well-earned team bonding night.

A relaxed evening together, giving the squad the chance to sit down, unwind, and build further on the bonds we’ve been forming throughout pre-season.
The lads have put in the hard yards over the last 4 weeks, and it was great to see that effort recognised.
A special thanks to Nathan Owen and Dave Smith (CEO) for supporting the event and rewarding the players’ commitment since the start of pre-season
Big thanks also to our hosts at the Crown Wharf for their hospitality and excellent service throughout the night
And let’s just say… a few initiation songs were aired that some fans may (or may not) get to hear one day.. Stay tuned for the end of month review for more
Manager, Graham Deakin:
“Great to see the boys let their hair down after a tough four weeks of pre-season.
Nights like this build the kind of togetherness that counts come matchday — and a few of the initiation songs were an eye-opener too!’
Majority shareholder, Nathan Owen, added:
“Pre-season is about much more than fitness and preparation on the pitch — it’s about building a strong culture and creating the togetherness that successful teams are built on over the course of a long season, particularly with so many players being new to our club.
The players and staff have shown tremendous commitment over the last four weeks working on their fitness levels, so it felt important to recognise that hard work and give everyone the chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company without a GPS vest.
It’s great to see the bonds within the group continuing to grow, and I’m looking forward to seeing the teambuilding off the pitch develop into teamwork on the pitch in the months ahead. Maybe also a rousing rendition of Wonderwall to the Shed End at some point… 🖤🤍”

Triston Carrington of the Crown Wharf commented:
“Here at Joules Crown Wharf, we were delighted to welcome the team for their bonding event ahead of what promises to be a super exciting season.
It was a pleasure to host such a fantastic group — everyone was a joy to welcome, wonderfully mannered, and a pleasure to look after.
We loved being part of their time together and can’t wait to welcome them back again soon for more good pub grub, proper pints, and a warm Crown Wharf welcome”
