Grant Awarded for Warm Spaces

House Of BreadFor the second year running, Stafford Rangers in the Community has been awarded grants to provide a warm spaces programme in the social club.

Aimed at lower income households who may be struggling to pay energy bills and the lonely and isolated, visitors will be given tea, coffee, biscuits, soup, a set of hat, scarf and gloves (in Rangers colours!) and a takeaway bag of nourishing snacks and other items to help keep them warm at home.

Visitors will get to spend 3 hours in a warm environment with games to play and people to talk to. The programme, which is run in conjunction with local charity House of Bread who will be offering help and advice on finding employment, is open two days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10.00am and 1.00pm starting on Wednesday January 17th, until the end of March.

Please encourage anyone you know who might be in need of this kind of support to come along and give it a try. We are extremely grateful to the National Grid Community Matters Fund and the Community Foundation, for awarding the grants.

So if you know of anyone who would benefit from this venture, please let them know. We will be waiting with open arms.
