Following on from the previous post our Integro Cup match returns to Tuesday 6th ‘arch and we now have a home fixture against Lancaster on Saturday 10th March. Any local business or group of supporters wishing to sponsor either of these games should contact the Commercial Office
In the light of tonight’s postponed game, you may find there will be some matches rearranged at short notice. The Coalville cup fixture has already been changed twice being a good example, as the League fixture secretary attempts to get all games played before the last day of the season. Our predicament is that we have 4 blank dates to fit any rearranged games in. Obviously Kidsgrove will take one of those, and if successful in both cups we will have further games to arrange. You also have to be aware that some teams in the league have played less games than us, and with bad weather forecast for the weekend our game at Barwell could be in doubt, giving further headaches for the League. Please be patient as games will no doubt be altered. The best way to keep in touch with developments is to keep an eye on the club’s official website and official facebook and twitter accounts.
Due to a frozen pitch, tonight’s match has now been postponed.
In light of the many postponements today in the league matches, the league cannot now agree to the Integro Cup game being played on Saturday 10th March. The game will have to revert to Tuesday 6th March.
The date is now needed to ensure as many league fixtures can be played on that date, one of which will involve Stafford Rangers.
The Integro Cup match scheduled for Tuesday 6th March at Marston Road has been moved (subject to final confirmation by the League) to Saturday 10th March. Neither club had a scheduled game on the 10th and both sides agreed to the move. The change of dates should result in a higher gate which will benefit both clubs.
The winners of this tie will host Mickleover Sports in the quarter final of the competition.
