Welcome, Alex-Ray Harvey!

We welcome our next Summer arrival as the experienced midfielder, Alex-Ray Harvey joins The Boro. At 29, Alex comes with a wealth of experience having started at Burnley, before spells with Fleetwood and Barrow saw him earn a move to Guiseley just two years ago in a deal worth £10,000, before Hednesford picked him up last season. We have no doubt Alex will add quality to our midfield and we welcome him to Marston Road.

Thanks, Joe.

Our cameraman and interviewer, Joe Davies, has found a full time job in his qualified profession and has decided to relinquish his role at the club due to time restraints. The club would like to place on record our thanks for Joe’s service and wish him all the best.

This now leaves an opening for somebody with the required or developing skills, to film our games and post match interviews. If you have the equipment, software and ability could you please contact the office on 01785 602430.

Andrai Jones Moves On

Sadly we need to announce that, following an approach by Guiseley FC , Andrai Jones has accepted their offer to play in the Conference North. This has been a very difficult decision for him after agreeing to re-sign for Stafford but he cannot turn down the opportunity to play back at a higher level. Andrai leaves with our best wishes and will always be welcome back at the Boro.

Great New Signing

Following Lewis King through the Marston Road doors is Evan Garnett, a promising and highly rated forward who was also at Mickleover Sports and scored the decisive goal that kept them in the NPL Premier at the end of the season. Evan, 24, lists Burton, Belper, Ilkeston and Kidderminster amongst his former clubs.

Oldham Friendly Announced

We can announce another friendly has been confirmed. Oldham Athletic will visit Marston Road on Tuesday 23rd July with a 7.30 pm kick off.
