Dale departs the Boro

Time to say goodbye

Dale BelfordWe are sorry to tell you that team manager Dale Belford has decided to leave the club.

Dale has been with Stafford Rangers for the last 4 years. He was assistant manager before being appointed to his current role four months ago.

He has demonstrated a huge enthusiasm for the role and has done everything with a passion and determination to succeed that is admirable. We thank him hugely for all his efforts to turn around our fortunes and are incredibly sad to see him go.

Dale has decided that he has currently taken the club as far as he can. Despite a gargantuan effort and commitment on his part the results and consistency on the field have not been able to be delivered.

Dale states:-

I always believed that we could turn the corner, but that currently is not the case. I am proud to have represented the club, but I am acting in what I believe are the best interests of the football club in stepping down now to give someone else the chance and time to ensure that the club stays in this division. I have given my all to the club whilst I have been here and am proud of our efforts and the work that both the players and backroom staff have put in. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support. It is with a heavy heart that I leave the Rangers, but I know that the decision is in the best interests of the club, myself, and my family.

Football can be cruel as we all know and everyone thanks Dale for everything and for the integrity, he has shown in making this decision. He will always receive a warm welcome at Marston Road and wish him only the absolute best for the future. Subject to the match going ahead on Saturday, Dale will lead the team out for the final time when we play Bootle.

In the interim period Assistant Manager Graham Deakin and the coaching staff will continue to train the squad and take charge of the next few games as we try and find a replacement.

We will of course keep you advised of any developments and thank you all for the support you have shown to your club and Dale.

Two more fly in

Stafford Rangers FC are pleased to announce the signings of two new players.

First off we have Liam Brazier, who has signed on work experience from Port Vale. Highly rated Liam, has already played for the first team and is looking to further develop himself with the Boro. Playing in Central Midfield, the 18 year old will be looking to impress from the off.

Next we have Ethan Patterson who joins on dual registration from Bromsgrove Sporting. The 24 year old tall central defender, originally started at Aston Villa, before moving on to play for several non-league clubs, including Alvechurch and Hednesford Town.

We would like to thank both Port Vale and Bromsgrove Sporting, for their co-operation in helping make these deals happen.

Welcome to the Boro, Liam and Ethan

Happy New Year 2025

Thank-you for your valued support

With the New year now banging on the door we want to take the opportunity of wishing everyone a great one.

To all our fans, staff, sponsors, suppliers, and volunteers we really do hope that 2025 brings peace, health, and happiness to you all and thank you deeply for everything you have done to help the club during 2024.

The year kicks off with a home game against Hanley Town Wednesday 1st January KO 3pm and we look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible that can be there to make that 12th man difference. Three points from this game would kick start our year on the pitch.

If you cannot wait for this game, then we still have a few tickets available for sale for our New Years Eve Party in the Jon Downing Suite which kicks off at 7pm on the 31st of December until late. Tickets are £15 each and can be booked with Claire on 07712 446043. You can bring your own food but unfortunately no children under 12 please. We will have live music with Back Beat and a great disco, and it should be a wonderful way to say goodbye to 2024 and hello 2025!

Like your Northern Soul? Then this regular event is back again on New Years Eve in the Stan Robinson Suite. Its £8 entry and you can pay on the door.

On Wednesday 8th January we welcome all fans and shareholders to attend another Fans Q & A Session in the Chairmans Suite. This will start at 7pm and should finish by 9pm. Directors and club officials will be on hand to answer questions, concerns or listen to suggestions of things the club can consider and progress. Do not miss it!

Happy New Year to You All.

Oliver JepsonWe can confirm that Oliver Jepson has left the club today under mutual agreement. Following an injury sustained at Long Eaton back in August, although subsequently recovered, Ollie has found game time limited and has opted to move on.
