This morning we received an email praising our matchday programme. Well done Chris Elsley
Hi All,
As a St Ives fan I can’t say that I enjoyed the game yesterday and to be fair we should’ve lost by double figures!
What I did like though was your match day prog. It’s easily the best I’ve seen this season. In a time when clubs seem less and less interested on producing a programme worth reading, it’s getting increasingly rarer to find a non league prog of this quality.
All the best in the next round, although whoever you draw it will probably be a tougher test than what we gave you!
Cheers Dave Hook

With both teams winning in the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday, the home league match againt Barwell FC this Tuesday night will go ahead as planned.
Barwell currently occupy 11th spot in the table but are only 4 points ahead of the Boro’ having played 3 games more.
For Jake Heath and Michael Townsend, who Captains the side, this is a return visit to Marston Road. The third ex Boro’ player to leave Rangers to join Barwell was Kyle Perry but he moved on to Stourbridge last week.
A welcome return to form on Saturday for the Boro’, let’s hope we can continue that tonight.
Kick off is at 7.45pm.

Stafford Rangers 6 St Ives Town 0
Buildbase FA Trophy 1st Qualifying Round
Saturday 28 October 2017
Stafford Rangers eased their way through to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy with a comfortable victory over St Ives Town.
After a scrappy opening, Stafford took charge with two goals in quick succession.
The first came from Kieran Morris on 17 mins when he headed over the advancing Jacob Marsden following Louis Briscoe’s ball over the top of the defence.
An excellent approach involving Alex Fletcher and Kieren Westwood saw Massiah McDonald add the second from close range five minutes later.
Briscoe and Fletcher both went close before McDonald made it 3-0 on 42 mins. Briscoe was again involved before McDonald slipped past Phil Draycott and strolled through to fire past Marsden.
There was still time for more before half time as Morris headed over when free and Rangers didn’t let up after the break and Kieren Westwood saw his shot hit the bar after it looped up off Marsden’s foot.
Briscoe hammered home the fourth on 51 mins, finishing a move that he had started just outside the Boro area.
Briscoe broke away after Sam Griffiths had forced an error and was there to produce a smart finish when Fletcher and Richard Gregory had combined well on the left.
McDonald should have completed his hat trick shortly after but shot wide with just the keeper to beat but Gregory curled a perfectly placed free kick into the top corner to make it 5-0 just before the hour mark.
Gregory missed a great chance to add to the tally when he went wide before Jamie Short failed from under the bar in a rare opportunity for Ives.
Sub Dan Westwood completed the scoring in the final minute battling past Jordan Jarrold to net from a tight angle.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides.
