An update on our squad

Jack Shorrock

We can confirm the signing of highly rated defender Jack Shorrock from Port Vale on work experience until early January. Comfortable on the left side of defence Jack, although only 16 years old, has first team experience and will be available for selection this evening for our match against Whitby Town.

Sadly Simon Njaria picked up a hamstring injury at the weekend and has not travelled with the squad.

Leaving the Boro is Edy Maieco, in search of regular game time and we would like to thank Edy for his commitment whilst at the club.

Welcome Jack and Thanks Edy.

Squad bolstered by new signing

Connor Heath

Stafford Rangers are pleased to announce that subject to FA and NPL approval being received in time for our game against Lancaster City FC, we have signed 23-year-old striker Connor Heath, on loan from Southport FC until the end of the season. Connor is well known to Dave Cooke having played for the gaffer at Nantwich FC and is another player who found the net in opposition to the Boro!

Connor began his career at Crewe before joining Nantwich and has had National League North experience at Farsley Celtic and Southport FC. Connor is another strong, powerful forward who will add to the options available to Dave.

We would like to thank Jim Bentley at Southport FC for enabling this loan to happen.

Welcome to the Boro, Connor.

More reinforcements

Derek Ubah

We are delighted to welcome back defender Derek Ubah to the club. A firm fans favourite, Derek has recently spent time focussing on his profession but returns to add his experience to our squad. Derek will join up with the Boro ahead of this evenings game at Ashton United.

Joining Derek is 19 year old, 6’5 striker Lewis Porter. Lewis is the son of former Vale legend, Andy Porter and spent most of his younger years with the Vale. Recently returned from studying in Scarborough, Lewis signed for Kidsgrove Athletic at the start of the season, making an immediate impact. We would like to thank Kidsgrove and Scott Dundas, their manager for enabling this move.

Welcome to the Boro lads.

Sean Cooke

We are delighted to announce the signing of 31 year old midfielder Sean Cooke from Nantwich Town FC. Sean will be well known to Boro fans having been our nemesis on many occasions scoring crucial goals for Nantwich and Warrington Rylands at Marston Road. Sean has many seasons of experience at NPL level and higher and will come straight into the squad, for tomorrow evening’s game at Ashton United.

Leaving Marston Road is young defender Taylor McMahon after the completion of his loan from Stockport County FC. We would like to thank Taylor for his efforts in a Boro shirt and wish him every success in the future.

New Years Day game moved

Stafford Rangers FC’s away fixture against Matlock Town has undergone a schedule shift, moving from the customary New Year’s Day to Saturday, 30th December. This rescheduling adds an extra layer of excitement as fans can now kick off their year-end celebrations by supporting the team.

The rescheduled clash ensures a lively encounter and provides an ideal opportunity for supporters to rally behind their team before ringing in the New Year.

As we enter the busy festive period where games are coming quick and fast, we encourage as many of our supporters as possible to get behind the team, as we seek to get out of the predicament we find ourselves in. Your support is critical to this, so please get behind the team as we know you will.

If you can’t get to our away fxture at Ashton United tomorrow night, then we hope to see as many of you as possible at our final home match before Christmas against Lancaster City this coming Saturday, 16th December 3pm Kick Off.

Reinforcements arrive

Stafford Rangers have secured a defensive addition to their squad with the loan signing of Ian Kamga from Stoke City, until 6th January 2024. At just 18 years old, Ian is an emerging talent as a left-sided defender, known for his robust and commanding style of play. Kamga’s loan stint promises to be a valuable experience for both player and club, as he aims to further develop his skills and contribute to the current Rangers squad.

Stafford Rangers have also secured a promising addition to their squad, with the signing of free agent goalkeeper, Ethan Endacott. Formerly with Reading FC, 19 year old Ethan last showcased his skills at Corinthian FC, before becoming a free agent. The shot-stopper has caught the eye of the Stafford Rangers coaching staff with an impressive display during training, earning himself a spot in the squad. Ethan will cover for Jack Sandel, who has unfortunately picked up an ankle injury and will currently be out for 3-4 weeks.

Welcome Ian and Ethan
