U18’s achieve Runners-Up Spot

U18’s achieve Runners-Up Spot

Congratulations to our U18’s

SRFC U18sWith beating Walsall Wood last night (Wednesday, 3rd May), the our U18’s side managed to claim the Runners-Up spot, in the U18’s MYFL league.

Since Andy Turner took over at Christmas they have been unbeaten in the league, winning 8, drawing 2 and losing 0 in their meteoric rise up the table. This has been achieved with the same squad that started the season, but developed and coached under the guidance of Andy Turner and Shaun O’Callaghan to attain remarkable results.

They finished the season with title winning form, which is hoped will continue into next season.

Congratulations to all players, coaching staff, parents and volunteers, without whom this could not have been achieved.

Season Finale

Season Finale

Let’s go out with a bang

Saturday (22nd April) sees us play the final game of the season against League Champions South Shields FC and we welcome their supporters, management, and players to Marston Road for what should be a fantastic day and fitting finale to the 2022/2023 campaign.

We congratulate South Shields on their magnificent achievement.

Tickets for this game are available online or you can pay on the gate as usual. We expect a large crowd and ask that you get to the ground early to minimise any queues. You can only access the social club bars once you have entered the ground and the turnstiles will open at 12 noon.

In the Chairman’s Suite Michael Lee and ten guests together with Chairman John Bromley are our official Match Sponsors each picking a man of the match. Tim Glayshier and guests are our Ball Sponsors for the day. Supporter Tony Cookson and guests will also be enjoying our hospitality.

We thank you all for your support and hope you have a memorable day.

In the Stan Robinson suite prior to the game Roy Sales will be welcoming around sixty youngsters together with parents and coaches within our ongoing community programme. This encourages local youngsters to feel part of the club as well as developing their football skills.

At half time we also welcome into the Chairman’s Suite this seasons Player Sponsors for a buffet.

Both Rangers and South Shields fans will be able to use the bars in the Jon Downing Suite and the fans bar in the ground will also be open.

END OF SEASON AWARDS

At 6.30pm the Stan Robinson Suite will be buzzing as we host our End of Season Awards with presentations made by Chairman John Bromley.

President Ken Hunt will MC the event.

All fans are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday promises to be a lively and wonderful day at Marston Road with a fantastic fixture and award ceremony recognising achievements both on and off the field.

We thank our fans for the wonderful and loyal support we have received this year as we bring 2022/23 to a close and already look forward with anticipation to next season.

Finally, thanks to all our volunteers, staff, sponsors and service partners who have worked tirelessly in many roles throughout the year, we could not do it without you.

Stafford Rangers Golf Day

What on earth are you going to do once the season finishes after our last home game against South Shields on the 22 April?

Stafford Rangers are delighted to announce that we will be holding a Golf Day on Friday 30th June 2023 and invite 14 Four Ball teams to register now, to enjoy a fabulous day out and book their place.

Our golf day is being hosted by Castle Golf Club, Castle Way, Stafford. ST16 1BP and is located just 1 mile out of the town centre. The golf day is open to all, no matter what your handicap. All we ask is that you bring a set of clubs, a smile and be ready to enjoy a great day with like minded friends. Golf as we all know can be a frustrating game (a little like football).

As Raymond Floyd famously said ‘they call it Golf because all of the other four-letter words were taken’ so don’t forget your sense of humour!

The cost for each team of up to 4 players is £150.

Arrival on the day will be 12 noon and a shotgun start for all our teams will commence at 1pm. We are organising competitions for Closest the Pin, Longest Drive and Foot Golf which you can enter on the day, for a small additional charge. Smart Casual attire is required along with your own set of clubs. A Hot-Buffet will be served at 6pm with presentations at 7pm to conclude, what should be a great day.

You will firstly need to click the following link which will enable you to enrol your team of up to four players, add players names and handicaps and information needed by Castle Golf Club. When you click the submit button you will be taken to the box office page where you can pay for your teams ticket. Please note, to secure your entry, you must pay once you have submitted your entry form. All revenue generated after costs and expenses will benefit the football club.

Enrolment for the Golf Day, will close on Friday 16th June 2023.

Let’s hope the sun shines.

Thank-you.
