Squad Update

Josh Endall – following a seven days notice of approach from Hednesford Town, Josh will be leaving SRFC in search of regular game time. We fully support his decision, given his lack of game time recently and we thank Josh for his efforts in his short time at the Boro and wish him well for the future.

Tom Carr – will be going to Avro FC on dual registration, again for game time. Tom will continue to train with SRFC and remain our player, but with limited opportunities recently this is in Tom’s best interest.

We can announce that we have signed 18 year old centre forward Max McCarthy from Stoke City, initially on a one month youth loan.

Max will be eligible for selection immediately.

New Signings

We are delighted to announce the signing and return of Theo Bailey-Jones from Hyde United. For the record, due to his season-ending injury Theo had not been offered a new deal at the time and had to seek an alternative. Now fully fit, and clearly the star man against us recently, Theo has jumped at the chance to return and repay the club and fans for the support given during his convalescence.

We are also delighted to announce the signing of striker Tre Pemberton from FC United of Manchester. Tre is a former Stoke City player and will add pace and flair to the squad.

Both players will be available for selection tomorrow.

Squad Update

We are disappointed to confirm that Tyrone Ofori will be leaving the club to seek regular first team football. Ty has worked so hard to claim a starting eleven position but it just hasn’t worked out as planned.

We can also confirm that due to work commitments John Welsh has taken the decision to retire from playing. What a superb professional John is and it has been a pleasure having him at the Boro.

We wish both Ty and John all the best for the future and thank them for their time and commitment whilst with us

Ethan Stewart – a central defender from Alfreton Town FC. Ethan began his career at Nottingham Forest and had time on loan at Nuneaton.

Tolani Omotola – a striker from Carlton Town FC. Tolani began his career at Tranmere and is well known to the gaffer. Has had spells with Witton and Barwell.

Both may be available for selection this evening.

Squad Update

Ben Forrest is recovering well from his horrendous pre-season injury and is now receiving regular treatment from our medical team. This remains a long-term recovery and we do not expect a return to action prior to the New Year.

Adam Whitehouse has returned to training following his hamstring injury and could be available for selection within the next 2-3 weeks.

Charlie Ten-Grotenhuis has been away on a pre-signing approved family holiday, but will have to isolate due to a member of the group testing positive for COVID 19.

Kieron Dawes has chosen to sign for Redditch United, following a seven days notice of approach. We are very disappointed with this decision but as the manager has stated, if you are not prepared to fight for a starting place, you are free to go. We would like to thank Kieron for his time at the Boro and wish him well at Redditch.

In light of the above expect new signings confirmation shortly.

We have started the season very well and we are all frustrated that we have not taken more points in certain games. As a management team they are determined to strengthen the squad to improve on this start. This takes time, is not an instant solution and we will only bring in players that are better than current players. We will build on the initial positivity flowing around the club.

Please stick behind us and keep that support vocal.
