Exterior Mural to Celebrate our Past

Exterior Mural to Celebrate our Past

A Visual Celebration of our Football Heritage

Stafford Rangers FC are very excited to announce that we have commissioned the fantastic Eve Whitfield of Illustrationsbyeve (@illustrationsbyeve) to produce a large scale exterior mural within the ground. The mural will be located on the wall immediately adjacent to the former Social Club and will showcase some of Stafford Rangers’ greatest achievements, as well as some Stafford landmarks.

A sketch of the mural can be seen below.

SRFC Mural

Eve will be familiar to some of you because she has been coming to Stafford Rangers games for several years with her dad, David Whitfield, a lifelong fan and a regular on the terraces.

All being well we are hoping to unveil the Mural at our home match against Workington AFC on 30th March 2024, where we hope to have some of the players on the mural in the flesh!

Come down and have your photograph taken in front of the artwork.

Prints of the Mural will be sold in the club shop.

You can currently find Eve’s artwork on her website or at Studio Fresh in Stafford, where you can buy her prints and products.

Stafford Rangers Football Club Champion ‘Unite for Access’ Campaign

Stafford Rangers Football Club Champion ‘Unite for Access’ Campaign

Every Fan has a place at our Football Club

Stafford Rangers Football Club is proud to participate in Level Playing Field’s new national campaign, ‘Unite for Access’ – a celebration of accessibility and inclusion for disabled sports fans.

An estimated 24% of the UK population is disabled, making disabled people the largest minority group in the UK. In spite of this, many disabled sports fans feel that attending live sports is not possible, due to the environmental and societal barriers that disabled football fans face, which make matchdays inaccessible.

The most recent Level Playing Field Fan survey found that 28.5% of disabled sports fans considered the attitudes of others to be a barrier when attending live sport, and over a quarter of disabled fans, 36.5%, said they are unable to attend certain sports or sporting venues due to lack of accessibility.

As a club, we believe that all people should be able to attend live sports, regardless of disability. We are committed to making the Stan Robinson Stadium accessible to all and will continue to take steps to improve, but we also call on all supporters to come with us on this journey, we all have our part to play.

We know that talking about disability can be daunting sometimes, it’s a complex subject matter. That’s why we invite all supporters, disabled and non-disabled, to engage with us on this important campaign and to ensure access and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

At Stafford Rangers FC, we want every fan to feel like they have a place at our football club. We want fans to feel valued and we want our disabled fans to feel that they are just as much a part of the match day experience as anyone else. As a football club we are keen to improve our facilities for all and have made some further progress this year on this front, with the installation of 2 new ambulant toilets in the main stand toilets and reprofiled the ramped access into the social club.

Heather Rose

As a football club we know we have further to go and therefore we are delighted to welcome Heather Rose to the football club as our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Heather’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable going forward to Stafford Rangers Football Club.

Niah seeks game time

Niah Payne

We can confirm that Niah Payne has signed for Ossett United on loan until 23/03/24.

Niah is in need of regular game time and Ossett United is ideal given that Niah is Leeds based.

We hope the loan period is successful for Niah and that he returns in great form to the Boro.

Squad takes shape for the run-in

Jack Stafford

We can confirm the signing of 22 year-old left sided defender, Jack Stafford following his release from Swansea City. Jack began his career in the Exeter City Academy, before moving to Waterford in the Republic of Ireland, for whom he made 28 first team appearances. He was then signed by Swansea City FC, but spent the majority of the 2022-2023 season sidelined with injury. Having fully recuperated Jack played for Swansea City Under 23s before being released at the end of December.

Congleton based Jack played in our friendly against Kidsgrove on Tuesday, for the first hour, after we had secured international clearance. Jack will come straight into the squad for our game at Hyde United this coming Saturday.

We can also confirm that recent loan signing George Burroughs has been sidelined with COVID recently, which is the reason he did not take part on Tuesday, but we hope that George will be back training on Thursday and may be involved on Saturday.

Finally, having received a seven-days notice of approach from Clitheroe FC, we can confirm that Simon Njaria has left the club. We wish to thank Simon sincerely for his efforts and commitment whilst at the Boro and wish him well for the future.
