Stafford Rangers came from behind twice to earn a point at Chorley.
The game was an excellent advert for the league with both sides giving their all.
The first half was controlled by the home side. They set the scene inside the first minute when Chris Denham ran on to a ball from Tom Ince but sent his left foot shot just beyond the far post.
Chorley were dictating play and took a deserved lead on 15 mins when Adam Roscoe flicked on Ince’s free kick and Matt Walwyn hooked the ball past Danny Read.
The Rangers keeper then prevented Chorley from extending their lead a couple of minutes later when he saved Steve Foster’s penalty after Luke George had tripped Denham.
Slowly, Rangers began to find their feet and Neville Thompson had a shot deflected for a corner before Jon Sheldon put one wide...
