Awards Night & End of Season Party

Awards Night & End of Season Party

2021/22 Season draws to a close

On Saturday 23rd April we welcome Ashton United to Marston Road for our final game of the current campaign, KO 3pm. Where have those months gone?

The game provides the team the opportunity to add a final 3 points and finish on a high as we reflect on what a great season it has been. The transformation has been remarkable and we take the opportunity to thank Matt, Dale and the entire squad and backroom team for putting a smile on our faces and pride in our heart, it’s good to be back!!!

Walking out the Rangers team on Saturday will be 4 of our 1972 heroes Mick Cullerton, Ray Williams, Jim Sargent and Keith Mottershead, Welcome gentlemen!

Last Saturday we had planned to make the match day programme a commemorative one but due to problems with delivery this was not available for sale. We are now producing the commemorative programme for this Saturday’s match which will be available at the usual price of £2.

Whilst there is much work to be done in the close season, on Saturday, we plan to celebrate and ask that you come down and take part.

Our Match Sponsors for the day are Michael Lee and his guests. We look forward to welcoming you once more to the Chairman’s Suite Michael and thank you for your continued support. Club Chairman John Bromley will also be enjoying our hospitality taking a table of ten and we are delighted to welcome again Richard Downing and his guests. Richard we have no doubt that late dad Jon Downing will be kicking every ball and enjoying the day with you. We look forward to seeing you all.

Saturdays highlight post-match is the End of Season Awards Ceremony which will take place in the John Downing Suite hosted by our very own Ken Hunt.

This will start at 6.30pm after the players and management enjoy a meal in the Chairman’s Suite. It is always a popular occasion and all fans are welcome to join us (no entry charge) and demonstrate what all the players efforts have meant to them throughout the 21/22 season. We will continue to enjoy a full night even after the awards with music provided by Matt Smith and a small buffet available for fans.

Let’s get this Party started!!! It should be a great night in the social club so stay with us and enjoy a drink, you don’t have to go to town to have a good time and let’s face it we need to generate income before the close season starts.
Thanks everyone for your support and loyalty throughout another year you have been fantastic and hope that more SRFC memories have been made with more to come in the future.

Stafford Rangers also wish to thank the legions of volunteers who help us throughout the season and without whom we couldn’t exist as a football club. You have all played a part and that’s why Stafford Rangers is ‘more than just a football club’.

See you all at the Pirelli Stadium on the 4th May to hopefully bring some silverware back to Marston Road.
