The Goal Post – Our New Newsletter

Now Available – December 2024 Edition

The long awaited Stafford Rangers Newsletter is finally here, as we introduce our first edition.

The Goal Post – will be the running title, with the aim of informing all our fans about what is going on at the club.

The newsletter has been produced by Craig Cartwright with help from a team of contributors. It will be a monthly newsletter that will provide news on all aspects of the club and hopefully provide our sponsors and fans, a better insight into what the club does or wants to do.

We hope you enjoy it. If you want to get involved or if there is anything you want to hear about, please contact us on media@staffordrangersfc.co.uk.

Defender moves on

Oliver JepsonWe can confirm that Oliver Jepson has left the club today under mutual agreement. Following an injury sustained at Long Eaton back in August, although subsequently recovered, Ollie has found game time limited and has opted to move on.

We understand that Ollie will be re-signing for Kidsgrove Athletic and he leaves with our thanks, best wishes and good luck for the future.

More squad additions

Raz and Rhys join the Boro

Abdulrasaq Alamu TajudeenDale Belford has acted quickly to reinforce the squad following the return of Joe Cuff to parent club Shifnal Town FC and we can announce the signing of 23-year-old left winger Abdulrasaq Alamu-Tajudeen. Raz joins on loan until 07/01/25 from Hednesford Town FC. Raz is a pacy, tricky winger. He started his career with the Shelbourne Academy in Ireland, before signing for Chippenham Town and then Bromsgrove Sporting FC. He was one of Steve King’s initial signings at Hednesford ahead of the season. Although ineligible for the game on Boxing Day at Keys Park, Raz comes straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow’s fixture with Mossley. We would like to thank Hednesford Town FC for their assistance with the loan deal.

We can also announce the signing of goalkeeper Rhys Williams. Stafford born Rhys already has Step 3 & 4 experience with Hednesford Town FC and most recently featured at Eccleshall FC. The youngster is highly rated and joins the squad ahead of the Mossley fixture.

Welcome to the Boro, Raz and Rhys!

Oliver Sayer joins the Boro

Young Starlett added to Squad

Oliver SayerStafford Rangers FC is delighted to announce the signing of 18-year-old goalkeeper Oliver Sayer from Birmingham City on a loan deal, until 5th January 2025.

Sayer, a promising young talent, signed his first professional contract with Birmingham City in July this year, solidifying his potential as a rising star. Known for his exceptional shot-stopping abilities, Oliver is equally adept with the ball at his feet, offering a modern approach to goalkeeping that will strengthen the Boro’s defensive setup.

Before joining Birmingham City, Oliver honed his skills in Coventry City’s Academy.

His progression at Birmingham City has seen him earn valuable experience and recognition as a dependable presence between the sticks, playing in their U18’s and U21 Teams.

Oliver will be available for selection immediately and is eager to contribute to the team, as Stafford Rangers compete in the Northern Premier League West Division.

Welcome to the Boro, Oliver!

Fans Survey

Fans Survey

Results released

To the 262 Stafford Rangers supporters who took the time to complete the recent survey we thank you and confirm that the fans survey is now complete.

The survey was created, compiled, and analysed by Craig Cartwright and we are grateful for his professionalism in completing it. We have now met with Craig on several occasions to look at the results in detail and decide where we go from here.

We are delighted that Craig has also agreed to play part in our communications team going forward.

The survey not only gives us many things to think about and develop but prioritises areas important to both fans and club. It is not just about things fans believe we do wrong but recognises areas of success and achievement.

We will be doing another survey in 12 months’ time and will build on what we have learned and achieved over the next year. The object is to get more things right than wrong.

So, what is next?

Whilst the survey reflects views and opinions regarding many aspects of the club we will be concentrating initially within our strategy and planning on the key information reflected and commented by fans.

The most important aspect is our communication both from the board and football club and how we deliver it, and this was one of the biggest criticisms.

Before Christmas we will be releasing the first of a monthly newsletter which will form one of the key channels of communication covering what is happening both on and off the field, to give you both a heads up and vision of what is going on and what is being worked on.

The next fans Q&A evening will be held at the club on Wednesday 8th January 2025 at 7pm. We hope to see as many of you there as possible so that these can be regular and proactive events.

In addition, there are monthly board meetings held on the last Friday of every month at 1pm. The first 30 minutes of these meetings will be set aside for shareholders who want to ask questions or raise issues directly to board members. We would be grateful for an e mail in advance, if possible, just in case we need to access information to provide answers. It is not compulsory, but you can email Mark Evans with any question.

There has been much talk of a five year business plan. An articulate vision and business plan that is achievable is vital to the club. This is a work in progress and will develop as we get to grips with some of the immediate short and medium term objectives which we will highlight in the newsletter.

You have spoken, we have listened we accept that we need to prove that!
