Luke Edwards and Marsel Tola news

Luke Edwards

With Ben O’Hanlon sidelined, following the injury sustained at Runcorn last Saturday, we can confirm that left-back Luke Edwards has been signed on work experience from Shrewsbury Town FC.

He joins team mate Leon Hughes, signed last weekend and we would like to thank Shrewsbury Town for their support.

Marsel Tola

Additionally, we can confirm that we have agreed with Derby County FC to extend the loan of Marsel Tola until the end of the season.

However, Marsel is not available for selection tomorrow due to a slight injury picked up in training.

Blue Light Card Day

Blue Light Card Day

Appreciation day to our fantastic emergency services and key workers

We are proud to promote that our next home fixture against Mossley AFC, is designated as an appreciation day to our fantastic emergency services and key workers.

We recognise and thank those tirelessly working in the Police Force, the NHS, Fire and Rescue, Armed Forces, and Social Care sectors for their service.

To give back and show our appreciation as a community club, entry is reduced to the concession rate of £8 for anyone presenting a valid Blue Light Card at the turnstiles for this game.

Blue Light Card

The Blue Light Card membership includes individuals working or volunteering in the emergency services, such as the Police, the Prison Service, Fire and Rescue, the NHS, Ambulance, and healthcare services, including the social care sector, and more.

Previous involvement in our local area shows that this encompasses a broad cross-section of front-line and public service workers within our community, who deserve recognition. In Stafford and the surrounding villages alone, there are approximately 2,500 individuals, including our Armed Forces personnel based at MOD Beaconside, plus the Police HQ, nearby ambulance deployment centre, as well as local fire and rescue bases, and many social care teams like Crispin Court and Katherine House.

This initiative is the Club’s way of recognising the vital contribution they make to our community.

SRFC at the heart of the community

Stafford Rangers is proud to be at the heart of its local community, and this offer is part of our ongoing commitment to making non-league football accessible to everyone.

We encourage supporters to please share the news with all of those you know, to get the word out there so that our brilliant local heroes know about this special concessionary offer. If you know someone eligible, invite them to join you for a drink in the clubhouse and enjoy the match at Marston Road.

Squad Update

Dan Cockerline and Leon Hughes

Dan Cockerline

Following consultation it has been confirmed that Dan Cockerline will need a shoulder operation, and to prevent further damage, Dan will almost certainly be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Dan Cockerline

Dan is devastated but by his own admission has struggled in recent games.

On a more positive front Dan will remain as a key member of Deakz’s back room staff.

Leon Hughes

Additionally we can announce that midfielder Leon Hughes has signed on work experience forms from Shrewsbury Town and comes straight into the squad against Runcorn.
