National Volunteers Week – Thank You!

This week is National Volunteers Week and, during this period of being football free, we can reflect on how much volunteers do for clubs like ours, up and down the land. Where non league clubs would be without volunteers, you just have to wonder. From cleaning dressing rooms and getting the kit ready, to working on the pitch, selling programmes and draw tickets, then working on projects to raise money for improvements and infrastructure, it all helps the club and community pull forward, together.
Our own current situation has seen a Business Continuity Group come together, as volunteers, and help keep the club alive, out plans in place to move forward and keep the club in the public eye. Some work has continued at the ground, with all of the correct measures, while we hope those that can safely volunteer will pop along and help out with some of the usual Summer work that is carried out.
Looking forward, we would love our band of volunteers to grow, while also encouraging our next generation to get involved and help forge further relationships around the club. Every Summer we call for volunteers to come forward and this year is no different. In the coming days we will make a further announcement regarding volunteering, so please keep watching!

Jake Charles Moves On

We can announce that Jake Charles will be joining Farsley Celtic, in Vanarama National League North. With the club being a few miles from Jake’s Leeds home and being a division higher, the decision was quite a draw, especially in the current climate.

Although Jake’s contract with Rangers had expired, Farsley had the decency to approach us for permission to speak with Jake, so we thank them for their conduct over the matter and we wish Jake the very best for the future and thank him for his service. 27 goals in 71 appearances made Jake a favourite with many fans. All the best, Jake!
