Our Annual Golf Day Returns for 2024

Stafford Rangers Football Club are pleased to announce, the return of their Annual Golf Day this coming Summer.

The first event that we launched last year was a wonderful day out for everyone with plenty of laughs and memories shared.

In 2024 we hope to build on that success and make it bigger and better, more teams, more and better prizes and more fun.

SRFC Golf Day 2023While we cannot confirm who they are now – irons are in the fire to bring some well-known faces to the event, that fans would have great memories of. Keep a lookout on future releases.

The Golf Day will once again be held at The Castle Golf & Leisure course, which has some of the best greens in the county. We thank them for supporting us and we hope we will have many years of partnership going forward, building on the success each year brings.

This eagerly awaited event will take place on Friday 28th June, giving you an opportunity to relax and mingle with friends new and old.

The day will include:

  • 18 Holes of Golf
  • Tea & Coffee
  • Hot Buffet
  • Bonus holes with prizes
  • Presentation Evening

More details to follow when we open bookings in March. So, get talking to your friends and start forming your 4-ball team. If you are struggling to put a four ball together let us know and we will try to put individuals together into a team.

First Plaques Installed

Thank you to everyone that purchased a personalised plaque for the Stafford Rangers’ Wall of Fame or donated money for a plaque for David Hiscox and Mark ‘Knocker’ White.

Thanks to your generosity the club has raised over £650, and we’ve ensured that those people named on the plaques will be forever remembered at Stafford Rangers FC.

The plaques have now been erected onto the side of the main stand.

We will be running this fundraiser again, as such if you would like a plaque please email the commercial team to register your interest.

Let’s try and fill the whole wall!

Friendly fixture arranged

Stafford Rangers FC are delighted to announce that we have managed to arrange a friendly fixture against Kidsgrove Athletic FC, at the Stan Robinson Stadium, for Tuesday 13th February with a 7.45pm KO.

Dave Cooke will be looking to play a majority of our first team players and will be integrating his recent new signings, into this team.

With just one first team home fixture this month against Guiseley on the 24th February, we hope that you can come down and support this friendly fixture; your support will be greatly appreciated.

Prices:

£5 Adults
£3 Concessions / U16s

Cash or Card accepted on the day. Our bars will be open from 6pm.

Dave Cooke to answer fans questions

We are delighted to announce that whilst there is no football this Saturday, Rangers first team manager Dave Cooke, will be hosting a fans Q & A session at the ground.

All fans are welcome to attend this event, which will take place in the ‘Members Bar’ from 12.00 noon to 1.30pm, on Saturday 10th February. Apart from Dave Cooke, we also hope to have a player in attendance too.

The bar will be open from from 12.00 noon so you can partake in our refreshments. It will remain open for the rest of the day and evening, so please join us to help support the event and club.

We will also be showing the Ipswich Town v West Bromwich Albion game on our screens (12.30pm KO) and also the Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United game (5.30pm KO).

Should you not be able to attend, you can e- mail your question in advance to media@staffordrangersfc.co.uk. Any reasonable question received, will be asked at the event on your behalf and feedback will be e-mailed back.

It’s two in, two out at the Boro

George Burroughs

Stafford Rangers FC are proud to announce, that we have signed two players on loan from Altrincham FC for the remainder of this season. We would like to thank Phil Parkinson and all at Altrincham FC for their assistance.

George Burroughs is a 21 year old versatile defender comfortable at centre back, right back and right wing back. Having spent 15 years at Coventry City and being part of their successful U23 side, Coventry based George signed for Altrincham in the summer. During his career George has had loan spells at Nuneaton, Telford and Redditch United.

Owen GermanOwen German, an 18 year old central midfielder is a local talent, who spent time on loan at Wythenshawe Town, and since October at Warrington Rylands FC featuring in our heavy defeat there, earlier this season.

Both players are now training with us ahead of our next fixture at Hyde United on Saturday 17th February.

We can also confirm that Jake Moult has been released and we thank him for his efforts at the Boro. Jake is considering his future options and we wish him well for the future.

Finally, Kingston Fligg has returned to parent club Stockport County and we would like to thank him for his time at the Boro.

Isaac towers in and Luke is promoted

We can confirm the loan signing of 20-year-old, 6’5” defender Saac (Isaac) Lee from Radcliffe FC until the end of the current season. Under the terms of the agreement Isaac will not be able to play against his parent club. Having trialed at Manchester City, Isaac went on to sign a two year deal with Stoke City and since his release has featured at AFC Fylde and Ramsbottom United. He became Radcliffe’s 10th signing during the summer featuring in all pre-season games and earning a contract. He has had loan spells at Prestwich Heys and Widnes this season. Isaac met up with and trained with us yesterday evening and comes straight into the squad for this Saturday’s game at home to Ilkeston.

Welcome to the Boro, Isaac and thank you to Anthony Johnson, Bernard Morley, and all at Radcliffe FC for enabling this move.

Additionally, we can confirm that another of our Under 21s, striker Luke Draysey, has signed first team forms after impressing Dave Cooke and Dale Belford in training. Luke has scored regularly for the U21s since he joined in December and will continue to play for U21s, whilst gaining experience by training with the first team each week. We now have seven players from our development squad training with the first team, each challenged to force their way into matchday consideration.

Finally, we can confirm that goalkeeper Ethan Endacott has been released. Ethan came in to cover Cam Belford whilst Jack Sandel was injured. We would like to thank Ethan for his time at the Boro and wish him well for the future.
